The free event will begin from 3pm to 9:30pm and will includes live music, a vintage air show, military equipment displays, a petting zoo, sports activities, kids’ crafts and food vendors, and wraps up with a laser light show in the evening.

“We’re excited to be part of such a special celebration within our Orange County community,” said Fisker or Orange County’s General Manger, Steve Rudkin. “It’s important to support local parks with rich heritage that have a promising future like the OC Great Park,” Rudkin said.

Visitors are encouraged to join the commemorative celebration of the Great Park by bringing five cans of food to donate to local food banks. The Great Park is located in Irvine; parking and admission for the event is free.

At “Growing the Park,” visitors can participate in activities covering five different themed areas, each geared toward a part of the Park’s rich heritage and promising future.  As the Park enters its first phase of major construction, “Growing the Park” incorporates many types of programs that visitors already enjoy year round.
